OVERVIEW

People with disabilities represent the world's largest minority group, however, most products and experiences are not made with their needs in mind. Every day an able-bodied person will perform a task, like applying their deodorant, using their hands and arms, and not think twice about it. For those with visual impairments or physical limitations, tasks like this can be extremely challenging if not impossible.

My role was the lead researcher and strategist on this project. We conducted research and created prototypes while working closely with people in the disability community. We listened to their experiences and needs, collecting valuable information that guided our design choices. Ultimately it was their insights and expertise that shaped the design of these products to make them more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. Unilever and Degree have continued building on the research and prototyping efforts of this project since 2020.
